DIY - Circle scarf

I ADORE scarfs!
I wear a scarf every day and would even say that scarfs are my favorite accessory. The best scarf is soft and feels like a well worn T-shirt.
Which Gave me an idea...Why not make a circle scarf out of a beat up tank top or t-shirt?! I had a few old tank tops so I decided to try out my idea.
I wanted a two tone look...So my shirts are similar colors that look great together.
Making a circle scarf was EASY and it turned out beautifully. Here is a tutorial if you would like to make one. It might even be a great Christmas present!

-you will need-
2 tank tops or t-shirts
scissors
sewing machine or needle/thread
&
pins

Step 1- Cut below bra line on both tank tops.
Step 2- Cut each shirt up the side hem to open up the shirt and make a flat piece of fabric.
Step 3- Lay 1 shirt flat out and place the other right on top. Make sure they are the same size and shape. If not, cut so they are.
Step 4- With fabric to the left, pin fabric ends you cut so that the pin heads are towards your body. This makes it easier when you are sewing because the pins are easily removed from the bottom before the needle reaches them.
Step 5- Get ready to sew! Sew both pinned edges of the fabric closed. I'm going to pretend you know how to sew a straight line with a sewing machine or by hand. If you don't then you can you-tube it for instructions. Its easy!
Step 6- Stretch the fabric, take the scarf with one end of the circle on each of your arms and pretend your gonna hug someone. STRETCH. it will make the scarf drape better.
Step 7- Wear it! Congrats! You made a scarf!
 I made 2 of them...a pink/red and a purple/blue.
Purple's my favorite..its softer and the best color ever.
Have Fun & Happy Creating!
