Our Story

Welcome to The Adventures of Kym & Dustin!
Kym always imagined a life of Adventure.
Dustin has always been captivated by Maps.
We both dreamed of the places we could go.

Best friends since we were sixteen.
Married since 2008.
Life together has been an adventure since day one!

We have lived in Wyoming, California, Washington, and Alaska.
You could say we thrive on a change of scenery.
We have followed Bob Dylan on tour, moved to Wyoming to work as dog sled guides, drove to Alaska in a 1978 Blue Bird bus with 90 sled dogs and 1 cat, got married on the beach in California, flipped coins to make decisions, and adopted a pound puppy named Dixie.

This is a Blog about our life.

Dustin and I spend our winters in Seattle, Washington working on personal projects and enjoying the city life. During the summer we live on the Mendenhall glacier in Juneau, Alaska and work as tour guides. We're kind of like birds, we go north for the summer and south for the winter.

Living on a glacier feels like living on a different planet. During the summer there is snow everywhere! The sun is incredibly intense and most of the time we have crazy sunburns. Sometimes we sit on our patio with our sandals on and pretend we are at the beach because the weather can be that warm and nice!
There is no internet, no running water, and no bad reports from the evening news.

Obviously blogging is hard without internet. I try my best to update our blog, but sometimes mother nature has her own plans and we get stuck on the glacier for long periods of time.
We hope you enjoy following our adventure!
